Spider Solitaire uses two decks across ten tableau columns: build same-suit runs from King down to Ace to send them home. Three difficulty levels — one suit, two suits, and four suits — range from a relaxing puzzle to a serious planning challenge. Play Spider Solitaire free online right here: undo, autosave, no ads, no sign-up.

No ads. No sign-up. Just the game.

How to play

  1. 1

The tableau has ten columns. Build DOWN in rank — place a 10 on a Jack, a 7 on an 8 — regardless of suit.

  2. 2

Only same-suit, properly descending runs can be moved together as a group. Mixed-suit stacks must be moved one card at a time.

  3. 3

A completed King-down-to-Ace run of the same suit auto-collects onto a foundation. Fill all eight foundations to win.

  4. 4

Click the stock pile to deal one card face-up onto every tableau column. You can only deal when no column is empty.

  5. 5

New cards deal onto every column at once — always keep at least one empty column in reserve for reorganising stubborn runs.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Spider Solitaire game really free?

Yes — completely free, with no ads and no sign-up. Open the page and play. There is no premium tier and nothing to unlock.

Do I need an account to play Spider Solitaire online?

No. There is no registration and no login. Your current game is saved in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.

What are the three difficulty levels in Spider Solitaire?

One suit (all spades), two suits (spades and hearts), and four suits (all four suits). The fewer the suits, the more runs are same-suit by default and the easier the game becomes.

Can I move a whole stack of cards at once?

Only if the run is the same suit and in proper descending order (K-Q-J-10…). Mixed-suit runs can only be moved one card at a time, so plan your columns carefully.

Why can't I deal from the stock sometimes?

Spider requires every tableau column to have at least one card before dealing. If a column is empty, fill it from another column before dealing a new row.

Can I play Spider Solitaire on my phone?

Yes. The game runs in any modern browser — desktop, tablet, or phone — with tap-to-move controls. Nothing to download or install.
