All 52 cards are dealt face-up into 8 columns. Your goal: build four foundation piles by suit, from Ace to King.
Click a card to select it, then click where it should go. Columns build down in alternating colors (red on black, black on red).
Use the four free cells (top left) as temporary storage — each holds a single card.
Move a descending, alternating run of cards together — the longer the run, the more free cells and empty columns you need.
Double-click a card (or let the game handle it) to send safe cards to the foundations automatically.
Almost. Of the original 32,000 Microsoft deals, only one — the famous #11982 — has never been solved. In the full 1,000,000-deal set, researchers have found just eight unsolvable deals. Every other deal, including any you randomly get here, can be beaten with enough planning.
Yes. We use the same published dealing algorithm as classic Windows FreeCell, so game numbers 1–1,000,000 produce identical deals. Type a number in the New Game dialog to replay that exact deal.

In FreeCell every card is visible from the start — no face-down cards, no stock pile — so nearly every deal is solvable with perfect play. Klondike, the classic seven-column solitaire, hides cards and adds the luck of the draw. We're working on Klondike too.
